and now their actual video from “under soil and dirt”
the story so far - quicksand
Pretty good fan video, cept i cant stand when fans make videos and they sing the song in the video, but ehhh still pretty good,
The story so far - roam
if you haven’t gotten they’re new album do so, if you like pop-punk and catchy ass choruses i suggest you get this ish
None of you will ever know
just how cozy you are
how perfect you got it
keep up the complaints
about your suburban hate
all i hear is waste
a basket of complaints
a waste of words
rolled off all your lips
just another day for you
is another one lost for me
slowly seeing everything i have
being stripped from me
but i still have one thing
you’ll never get see
a light in a dark age
my appreciation makes up for
the depreciation
i could spend hours
wasting my words on you
but you’ll never understand
just how hard it is
to see that all we have,
is all we’ll ever need
locked out for good
but ill always have a home
locked out for good
but ill always have a home
locked out for good
but ill always have you
Seeing your wheels roll off the pavement
and into an early morning sky,
never letting the night end on a bad note
Take a drag or two and call it a night
and after 5 months i still write
nine pages a night
of how i truely express myself
and i never want to see another sad tear
cause if i could take away all the pain
you now i would trade my life for yours
just so you, would never have to know
another day where everything has fallen
down.
just, remember this night
where sheets and the dim light
cloud our sight but not our touch
as i whisper all the things you mean to me
into your ear as you drift to sleep
knowing that ill never want another
for as long as i should live
and trust me ill keep my promise
and i never want to see another sad tear
cause if i could take away all the pain
you now i would trade my life for yours
just so you, would never have to know
another day where everything has fallen
this warm red cabin at 3 in the morning
looking into those mesmirizing eyes
holding you in embrace not wanting to let go
cause i get nervous when your hand leaves mine
please dont go(please dont go)
please stay now
please dont go(please dont go)
i love you
In The Scene is glad to bring you an interview with Minnesota’s Our Life Story! Check out the band talking about upcoming tours, their relationship with their new record and reactions to early looks at their new record, I’d Rather Change Than Stay the Same.
For the record could you please state your name and role in the band?
My name’s Brandon and I’m the vocalist in Our Life Story.
Last summer you released your album Shorelines. How would you compare the process for your upcoming album to the process you went through for Shorelines?
It was a totally different feel this time around. I think we grew a lot as musicians and were able to figure things out a lot more for this album. On top of that, we had two member changes between then and now, so that added to the writing process and having different mind-sets and opinions to put into the mix. It was overall a much more rewarding experience for the new album.
What’s been your best moment as a part of Our life Story?
Personally, its kind of a lot of smaller moments all in one. Just the ability to travel and play our music to new people. Also, getting to play with/meet bands that have been inspirational is always such a great experience.
Not too long ago you guys became a part of the Barrett Records family. How has it been belonging to the label to this point?
It has been beyond great. Justin and Josh are such rad dudes and have done some really great things for us. Plus, there are a ton of amazing bands that are also on Barrett, so it’s great to be a part of the same family.
When someone hears your music what is the one thing you hope that they take from it?
I just really hope it’s something people can listen to and relate with. I know when I listen to some of my favorite bands, the things that really stick out to me are the things I’m familiar with. The parts that I can feel the passion in the music and connect emotionally. That’s what I hope some people can take from our music.
Very recently your upcoming EP, I’d Rather Change Than Stay The Same, became the featured stream on AMP magazines website. How happy are you with the reactions to the album so far?
We are all stoked! We have received so many positive comments from people that are really excited on the new album. Every day we get new comments from people that checked it out and every day we get that much more excited to get out there and play shows.
While Our Life Story has clearly been busy and is currently on the verge of releasing I’d Rather Change Than Stay The Same, are there any other plans that fan can look forward to this coming summer?
Well, nothing is concrete yet, but we are planning on putting out a few more new releases in the next few months. Also, anyone who lives in the midwest, south, and east coast, we are doing a Spring tour and Summer tour. We are going to be covering a lot of ground so hopefully we can get out there for people who want to see us. Our July east coast tour is with our dudes in The Tired And True out of CT, so make sure to check them out too. We can’t wait.
Thank you so much for your time, is there anything else you would like to add?
I just want to thank everyone who has ever supported Our Life Story in any way over the last two years. We are nothing without the support we receive. We are super excited to put out this new EP and hope you all check it out along with Barrett Records! We have pre-orders up for “I’d Rather Change Than Stay The Same” at http://www.barrettrecords.net/store/catalog/
